The Future is Forward: So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, adieu...

Adieu, adieu, it’s time for closure and renewal.

On Tuesday December 11, 2018, after two and a half wonder-filled years at the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) in Toronto, I hung up my wings in the employee hall of fame and took a bow to transition out of my role as Engagement Manger for impact investing and partnerships.

With bittersweet feelings I'm moving into my future with a cup of excitement, a spoon of uncertainty and a whimsical splash of curiosity. CSI is a launchpad that accelerated my growth - impact that happened with support from the many friends and conspirators I met along the way. Before propelling into 2019, I’m taking a deserved four-week break to engage in slow living. The kind of slow living that prioritizes the things that bring joy to my life. Cooking with mom, reading fiction, shooting 35mm film and digging deep into my dreams as I think about what it means to live my truth and be obedient to the call of my vocation.

What’s in store for 2019?

Imagineering. I'll be working on design projects in my studio, running my company, and working at the Board level with lovely humans from Nia Centre for the Arts to build Ontario's first multi-disciplinary arts centre for young people of African heritage.
